Senior Foot Clinic
The Senior Foot Clinic provides preventative foot care to elderly individuals. This is achieved by providing a health-provider relationship to monitor health of elderly individuals and offering preventive health information and referrals to specialists for further foot care. These services are provided by a volunteer registered nurse.
The program objectives include providing early detection of circulatory problems, educating diabetics on foot care, offer education of foot care and general nutrition, and promote health and wellness.
A volunteer registered nurse is needed to organize and operate this very popular program. Any registered nurse interested in leading this progam should call Jackie at (719) 481-4864, ext. 23. The Foot Clinic is typically held once a month at the Tri-Lakes Cares facility, 235 Jefferson St, in Monument.
